ADHD Therapy for High-Achieving Women, Overwhelmed Moms & Late-Diagnosed Adults in California…
ADHD in high-achieving women and moms is often missed because it can look like anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or “holding it all together” while quietly struggling underneath. I offer ADHD therapy for women and late-diagnosed adults across California who want to better understand their brains, reduce shame, and create more sustainable systems for work, parenting, relationships, and everyday life. If you’re wondering whether ADHD may be part of your story, I also offer an extended ADHD assessment session to help you explore your symptoms, understand what may be contributing to your overwhelm, and leave with clearer next steps for support, treatment, and/or formal evaluation if appropriate.

Individual Therapy for Women and Parents in Petaluma, Marin, San Francisco & Online Across California…
Individual therapy can help you better understand yourself, manage anxiety and overwhelm, and move through difficult seasons with more clarity and support.
At Bay Area Modern Therapy, I work with individuals navigating anxiety, caregiver burnout, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma, perfectionism, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-achieving women, overwhelmed moms, college students, professionals, and parents who may look like they’re holding it all together on the outside, but feel anxious, stuck, scattered, or exhausted underneath.
Therapy can be especially helpful during seasons of change, including starting a new career, going off to college, becoming a parent, adjusting to motherhood, navigating relationship stress, or rediscovering your identity in parenthood. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s keeping you stuck, build practical tools for daily life, and help you feel more grounded, connected, and supported.
Anxiety Therapy for High-Achieving Women, Moms & Professionals in California…
Anxiety can make your world feel smaller and smaller. It may keep you from showing up as the person, partner, friend, professional, or parent you want to be. Whether you’re struggling with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, performance anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, or constant overthinking, anxiety can start to feel like an unwelcome houseguest running your life.
The good news is that anxiety is highly treatable. With the right support, you can learn to understand your anxiety, loosen its rigid rules, and build more freedom, confidence, and flexibility in your daily life.
What evidence-based anxiety treatment looks like here
Personalized assessment: We start by listening—learning how anxiety shows up for you, what you’re avoiding, and what matters most in your life.
Cognitive-behavioral strategies: Practical tools to identify unhelpful thoughts and patterns, test assumptions, and develop more flexible ways of responding.
Exposure and behavioral experiments: Gradual, supported steps to reduce avoidance
Parent Coaching for Modern Parents Raising Anxious, Sensitive, or Neurodivergent Kids
Parenting today can feel overwhelming, especially when your child is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, ADHD, school stress, behavioral challenges, or difficulty with transitions. Parent coaching gives you a supportive space to better understand your child’s needs, respond with more confidence, and build practical tools for the hard moments at home, school, and in daily life.
At Bay Area Modern Therapy, we help modern parents move beyond generic parenting advice and toward strategies that actually fit their child, family, and nervous system. Parent coaching may support you with emotional regulation, anxiety, ADHD, family communication, behavior challenges, routines, boundaries, and reducing the stress and shame that can come with feeling like you’re “doing it wrong.”

Visit our contact page or call us at (707) 354-6907, and we will contact you to set up a short phone call before our session. The first 1-2 sessions are spent moving through an assessment, setting goals, and creating a treatment plan. Then… the work (read: FUN!) begins!
-
We believe that effective therapy, especially when working on specific mental health issues, should be active, directive, helpful, and fairly brief (12-16 sessions). Some people use therapy as a tool to work through life struggles, or to get coaching or a different perspective on relationships. That kind of therapy can take as short or as long as you want it to!
